A Modern Project to Find the Salvage Boat
(results)

Aerial magnetometer scans were conducted on 11 September by RETTEW of the target area in the marshland along the Rancocas. The primary goal was to prove the presence of any buried mass of iron sufficient to be Brutus de Villeroi’s 1859 submarine. In this, we were very successful!

Redacted versions of the RETTEW report, as well as an assessment thereof by Vince Capone of Black Laser Learning, are available below. You will note that some details are missing from the reports and the images. This is for security reasons. Word has spread that we found "something" and it now becomes imperative that we be somewhat imprecise as to the exact location of that discovery. Beyond the damage that might be caused by souvenir hunters to the submarine, the marsh is treacherous and unforgiving terrain.

Beyond locating the potential resting place of de Villeroi’s vessel, we also succeeded in achieving the longer-term goal of attracting the attention of a renowned underwater archaeologist who has worked on numerous sunken ships. He is keenly interested in picking up where our inexperience forces us to leave off.
